1947 Martin Committee Bb Trumpet, #2 Model, Lacquer
Martin Committee #2 Medium Bore Bb Trumpet, c. 1947
A desirable early Martin Committee in the sought-after #2 medium-bore configuration, this trumpet dates to approximately 1947 and comes from one of the classic periods of Committee production.
The instrument is in excellent overall condition for its age, retaining approximately 90% of its lacquer. There is evidence of prior bell repair, which is reflected in the condition and should be visible in the accompanying photos. Valve compression is good, and the horn remains a strong example of the responsive, colorful playing characteristics that have made vintage Martin Committees so enduringly popular.
The #2 medium bore is especially prized among Committee players for its balance of flexibility, core, and efficiency, offering a different feel from the more commonly encountered larger-bore examples.
Includes the original case and case cover. The cover is present but has broken zippers. Also included are a heavily worn Rudy Muck 12S mouthpiece and a Humes & Berg Cleartone mute.
