C. Davis 1S9 ML Bb Trumpet — Lacquer

Designed by Los Angeles studio artist Charley Davis, the C. Davis trumpet line reflects the West Coast commercial trumpet tradition: quick response, centered projection, and a sound that can move from warmth to brilliance without losing its core.

This C. Davis 1S9 medium-large Bore Bb trumpet in lacquer is an earlier example of the line, assembled by Kanstul. The 1S bell gives the horn its focus, color, and presence, while the #9 leadpipe opens the feel and broadens the sound. Compared with the classic 1S/2 commercial setup, the 1S9 offers a little more room in the blow, a warmer spread, and a larger tonal canvas while still keeping the immediacy and response associated with this style of horn.

This instrument, like every C. Davis trumpet, comes standard with a Bob Reeves Brass Valve Alignment.

This horn is in excellent condition with only minor wear.
