1980s Bach Stradivarius ML C Trumpet 239 Bell, Lacquer, Reeves Alignment

A professional Bach Stradivarius C trumpet in a less common and highly appealing configuration: 239 bell, 25C leadpipe, and ML bore. Compared to the more standard large-bore Bach C setup, the ML version offers a slightly more compact feel and response while still retaining the breadth and color that make the 239 bell such a trusted choice for orchestral and all-around serious playing.

This example, serial 193xxx, is finished in lacquer and remains in excellent condition, with some lacquer wear at the usual contact points from careful use. Mechanically, it is in very good shape: valves move great, slides move freely, and the horn has received a Reeves Valve Alignment, a meaningful upgrade for artists who care about response, slotting, and efficiency.

The 239 bell / 25C leadpipe combination gives this horn the familiar Bach C breadth and stability, while the ML bore adds a touch more compactness and control to the blow.
