About Ullvén Mutes

Mutes made by the Swedish company Ullvén & Co has since the late 1950's been considered to be one of the world’s foremost brands. Leading professional brass musicians use and appreciate the mutes. Trumpet giants such as Dizzy Gillespie and Maynard Ferguson used them and were also involved in developing new Ullvén mutes.

Unfortunately, around the turn of the millennium 2000, production ceased for various reasons. Almost 20 years later trumpeter Lasse Lindgren can proudly and happily announce the resurrection of the brand. Each Ullvén mute is handcrafted to the same specifications as the originals using the same tooling and materials.
