Vintage Irving R. Bush W2 Trumpet Mouthpiece – Silver Plated (Average Condition)

The Irving R. Bush line of mouthpieces was developed in the mid-20th century, offering unique designs favored by professional players of the era. The W2 model features a wide cup and large backbore, producing a broad, open sound with excellent projection.

This example is in average condition, showing wear consistent with age and use. The end of the shank is worn and fragile due to the large backbore design. There are nicks and scratches throughout, including what appear to be plier marks on the shank—fortunately positioned high enough not to affect insertion into the receiver. Despite the cosmetic and structural wear, the mouthpiece remains functional.
